#Devil may cry 4 special edition crash pc settings series#
It's a fantastic game of course, with, IMO, easily the most developed cast in the series but what really stood out to me is its central theme of life and death. ()'s a montage from Pyro's Fat Cry 3 video.Īs for why, I think a big part of it has to do with when I played the game which was in high school. I like FC3 for the main character considering later games muted the protagonist and Vaas the antagonist is so much bigger than life in everyone's mind. But now years later I understand how fucked up and life-long PTSD-inducing the whole situation would've been. I used to have fantasies about being Jason Brody in my own misadventure. But none of them are grounded and believable like Jason Brody imo. Sure some might argue Aiden Pearce from Watch_Dogs and Bayek from Assassin's Creed Origins fits that bill as well. I think Ubisoft created the last great memorable hero in Jason Brody. You don't want to *"waste time"* on any of the above and wanna finish the game quick af? Well, it's boring but yes you can.Ī close second favourite game I just have to mention is surprsingly, Far Cry 3 or as Pyrocynical calls it, Fat Cry 3. Ride your horse till your hide is hard as asphalt? Well son, you've just became a master jockey. Everybody around you loses their purse? Oh boy, you're a master pickpocket or what. You don't leave any locks unpicked? Great, you're now a master lockpicker. Create bunch of potions? Well you're now a master alchemist. And I love the fact that doing anything and everything will make you proficient in that. Therefore swordplay carries the brunt of combat and it's oh so satisfying, specially in first person view. The setting is medieval bohemia which lacks magic that is usual staple of these type of RPGs. My favourite RPG is Kingdom Come Deliverance. The story is also very similar to Hotline Miami, it feels like you start in the middle of the story but the more you play after you've finished your first playthrough, the more you begin to realize that everything pieces together and it wasn't what you initially thought it was about. The art is also very nice, I'd say it's a bit more detailed than Hotline Miami but not as gory. It's got a lot of great tunes, the OST is just amazing! The songs also have a very synthwave feeling to them, which reminds me of hotline miami and I can definitely hear those tracks playing in both games lol, they're just that similar and good. The next thing I really loved about the game was the music. I've done that, and it was super fun to speedrun it! Just run, kill enemies without dying (You die in one hit), it's pretty fun and if you want to pull off a gold speedrun for a steam achievement, you also have to memorize the moves you have to do in every stage which turn into muscle memory the more you do them. To start off, the game is like Hotline Miami in terms of gameplay. My favorite game? Possibly Katana Zero! As for "Why?" I'll have to explain. Thanks for a chance kind internet stranger! Keeping it short I love that game and I cannot wait for the TVshow.Īs for the game that I want, I would like to play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as the SW universe is another favourite of mine, so playing in this universe will be amazing, especially since I heard that this game plays like a souls game. I actually went around different sets and seeing it all in person brought a whole new dimension to my memories of this game. Not to mention that it is currently being filmed in the city that I live in, Calgary, AB. It only bit in moment from there on making my number one game of all time. When it comes to the last of us, I got captivated by the opening scene, it was so well done and didn't hold back. As for the story driven games, I enjoy every second of it, and yes I do rush to the end of it because I want to know what it will end with, but I always have something to look forward to which prevents me from being bored with this game. Sure I like games that have good mechanics or come with or are very unique and original, but I find that those games tend to be on the longer side which eventually gets me bored of the game and I play it only to finish it rather than truly enjoy the moment to moment parts of it. My favourite game of all time is The Last of Us as it is a very story driven game and I really like story based games. I know my chances of winning are slim to none given that there are 1.3k comments but I wanted to try my luck anyways.
